Acoustic Urban Blues Workshop

 —  —

Dusty Strings Music, 3406 Fremont Ave. N, Seattle

In early 20th century, when guitarists were accompanying singers and improvising single-string guitar solos, there was little difference between urban blues and jazz. Guitarists Lonnie Johnson and Scrapper Blackwell epitomized this style, which influenced electric blues players like T.Bone Walker and BB King and jazz players like Charlie Christian. This style can be done finger style, but more efficiently with a plectrum (pick). Learn a classic blues tune, new chords and techniques for single-string soloing. For intermediate and advanced guitarists.
